The Ventura County Dart Assn. offers coaching for Corporate Games Darts Competition, and will serve as volunteer score keepers for most matches.
What have we to offer?
If you had a team that participated in the Darts competition of the
Corporate Games in 2005 & 2006, that team would have benefited by having
members of the VDCA serve as volunteer score keepers for most matches,
providing tips and advice for some team members new to the game of
darts, and giving basic instruction and encouragement to some players
who had never picked up a dart before participating in the event.
We would therefore like to offer more comprehensive services to teams
planning to participate in future darts competition of the
Ventura County Corporate Games in the form of:
Coaching & Clinics Structured practice/training sessions covering...
Stance: Proper foot placement
Aim: Proper placement of the dart
Throw: Do's and don'ts
Grip: Spinning
Bad Habits: bouncing, the lunge, etc
Rules of play
Strategy: Tips for how the modified game of 301 or 501 should be played.
Coaching & Clinics are offered at
The Bench Warmer
Dates for 2008: are Tuesdays; March 25, April 1 and April 8 at 6pm at the Bench Warmer.
