Oh My Masters Memorial Day 2009 Tournament results

For those of you that did not make it out, this tournament was a huge success. There were 24 entries into the event, and despite the size of the event it went very quickly. Mostly due to alot of people stepping up and chalking matches when they were not playing. We started at 2:30pm and were done in less than 4 hours. The format was Chicago on the front side and 1 game of 701 on the backside.

I’d like to thank Bob and Rosie Cobb for the BBQ, as usual it was much appreciated by all all of the darters, and a special thanks to Sherrie Cignetti for providing the food and the venue for this event.

For those of you not familiar with the Bench Warmer "Oh-My" tournaments, they are in honor of Frank "Oh-My" Tracey, Cheri Cignetti's father. I had the privilege of knowing Frank for a few years and I would like to say a more courteous man you will never meet. Frank played darts every weekend and was given the nickname "Oh-My" because of his tendency to throw some pretty surprising darts. Frank was a huge supporter of darts in Ventura County and a Good Man in general. All who knew him immensely misses him.

In honor of Frank the Bench Warmer hosts "Oh-My" tournaments on or around most major holidays. The format for the day will be a blind draw double elimination Chicago event, depending on the turn out. Cheri may revise the format at her discretion. The draw for partners will be a 2:00 PM sharp so please do not be late.
